UV-234 is a benzotriazole type UV absorber. Characterized by its strong, broad range UV absorption property, UV-234 brings an excellent photostability to polymers against UV light exposure in many ways i. e. retarding color yellowing, preventing embrittlement, maintaining of mechanical properties etc.
UV-234 is particularly effective in styrenic polymers, PVC, unsaturated polyesters polyurethanes, acrylic polymers and polycarbonates.

IV. Advantage

1. Styrenic polymers: 0.2-0.5wt% for PS
0.3-0.5wt% for ABS
0.5-2.0wt% for HIPS
2. Polyvinyl chloride: 0.2-0.5wt% for PVC
3. Polyurethane: 0.3-1.0wt% for PS
4. polyacrylate: 0.15-0.3wt% for PS
5. polycarbonate: 0.15-0.3wt% for PS
6. Unsaturated Polyester: 0.2-0.4wt% for PS
