Product description

In the rubber industry, Antioxidant 2246 serves as an antioxidant for synthetic rubber, latex, and natural rubber. It is one of the superior varieties among phenolic antioxidants. Rubber products incorporating this antioxidant exhibit resistance to thermo-oxidative aging, protection against ozone aging from light, and resistance to damage from repeated deformation. It also passivates salts of variable valence metals. It is used in light-colored and colored rubber products.

In the plastics industry, Antioxidant 2246 prevents thermal and photo-oxidative aging of chlorinated polyethers, impact-resistant polystyrene, ABS resin, polyoxymethylene, and cellulose resins. The dosage is 0.1-1.0%.
