The company’s polypropylene (PP) solutions cover the entire value chain, from monomer production to specialized polymer grades. Using advanced gas-phase (Unipol, Spheripol) and liquid-phase (Novolen) polymerization technologies, PP is produced with controlled molecular weight (10,000 - 1,000,000 g/mol) and isotacticity (95 - 99.5%). Homopolymer grades are designed for rigid packaging (MFR 2 - 40 g/10 min, flexural modulus 1400 - 1800 MPa), while random copolymers (ethylene content 1 - 7%) offer improved transparency and impact resistance for food containers. Impact copolymers (ethylene content 5 - 20%) are produced using sequential polymerization, combining a PP matrix with an ethylene-propylene rubber phase for high impact strength (Izod impact > 500 J/m at 23°C). The company also develops specialty PP grades, such as nucleated PP for high-speed thermoforming (cycle times < 10 seconds), and heat-stabilized PP for automotive under-the-hood applications (service temperature up to 120°C).
